How it works

TCGROI (also written TCG ROI) is a free Pokémon TCG expected-value calculator. It prices every card in a set against its published pull rates to show what a sealed product actually returns compared with what it costs.

Expected return is based on standard booster pack prices and published pull rates.

1. Daily market prices. We pull today's market price from TCGPlayer for every card in a set — and for every sealed product you can buy it in.
2. Expected value from published odds. Those prices are combined with published pull rates — TCGPlayer's own articles where they exist, disclosed-sample community sources otherwise — to get the average card value in one pack, then compared against what a pack actually costs.
3. Every product, not just packs. The same math runs for each product in the set — box, ETB, bundle, blister, tin — so you can see which one is the least-bad deal before you buy.

Best expected return today

Every set with published pull rates, ranked by what a booster pack actually returns in card value against what it costs. 100% means a pack returns exactly what you paid for it; below 100% means you lose money on average by opening it. Cards under $10 are excluded, since they are rarely worth selling individually.
